A little about the team working here at Gweek Classic Boatyard.
Mark Aichroth spent a large part of his childhood at Gillan Cove near to Manccan. He has had long passion for sailing both big boats and dinghies. He has part owned a classic Swan 37 and raced a Sweden 36 at Cowes Week and in the Round the Island race. Mark is currently working in healthcare in London and Switzerland, home is in Somerset. He is Governor of Port Regis Prep school and a volunteer for Festival Medical Services that provide the on site medical services for the Glastonbury Festival. The charity supports many medical aid projects around the world. Mark spends as much time as possible in Gweek with his wife, Camilla.
Malcolm Beaton has taken a number of businesses from start up to significant success, these businesses are in Waste Management, Farming and Property.
Malcolm has a passion for classic tractors and is at his happiest operating machinery. Malcolm enjoys a project and bring enormous energy and drive to Gweek Classic Boatyard. Malcolm also lives in Somerset with his wife, Maria.

Luke Jones | Senior Yard Man & Crane Driver
Luke Jones is our new Senior Yard Man and Crane Driver, joining us form Fugro Seacore where he was the Nearshore Plant Superintendent. Luke has extensive craning experience having worked for Macsalvors, the established national craning company. Luke will be looking after health and safety and improving the overall technical operation of the yard.
Jerome Pickle | Yard Hand
Our experienced yard hand Jerome is onsite to help with guiding the lifting of the cranes, pressure washing and anti fouling boats on the yard. Jerome has joined us from Somerset where he worked with AM Beaton. Jerome has had a number of years working with Malcolm and brings significant skill as a mechanic. Jerome lives on site and brings a calm and can-do attitude to his work.
Don Parker | Yard Hand
We're very pleased to welcome Don Parker, a new boatbuilder joining the team at Gweek from Roseland Boatyard.

Gemma Morris | Admin Assistant
Our Admin Assistant Gemma Gilbert has worked at the boatyard since October 2016. Gemma is from Helston with previous Customer Service experience in local businesses and will be your first point of call for all your office and chandlery inquiries.
Tammy Essen | Accounts
Tammy Essen is a local living in Gweek who joined the team in September 2017 bringing 15 years of accounts experience working with small, medium and multinational businesses in the UK and Australia. Tammy is our part time Book Keeper and is also an active member and Treasurer of Garras School PTA.
David Furness | Skipper
David moved to Cornwall five years ago and has spent as much time on the water as possible ever since. With a passion for boats and the local area, he is excited to share his local knowledge with guests and be a part of the Constance project.
Samantha Parker | Skipper
Samantha grew up on the Thames on her parents' boat, and has worked as head boatman at Cliveden House Hotel. She also skippered the umpire launch for the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race on the Thames and one of the umpire launches for Henley Royal Regatta.
John Ball | Front of House
John will be responsible for managing front of house on board. JB has lived in Falmouth for over forty years and is well known to many as owner/restaurateur of The Seafood Bar in Falmouth. He has also managed front of house at Castaways and The Waterside, Flushing and currently works at the Golden Lion in Stithians. He brings a calm, knowledgeable and relaxing attitude to Constance, giving the customers a memorable experience with his hands on front of house skills.

Duncan is one of our resident shipwrights and boatbuilders, specialising in boatbuilding repairs, maintenance, rebuilds, restorations and new builds. View his website here.
Susie is Gweek Classic Boatyard's painting and finishing expert, skilled in painting wood, metal and GRP boats.
Andrew Massey | Shipwright
Andrew is another of our skilled shipwrights, specialising in bespoke joinery, restorations and repairs. Details of his completed projects can be found on his website.
Amanda Champion joins us from a nationwide French polishing company. She previously worked on interior yacht finishes at Pendennis Shipyard and as an antique restorer. Based at Gweek, she is undertaking furniture restoration and yacht interiors. She specialises in wood, leather, marble and composites.
Chris Hardman Jones
A highly renowned GRP/fibreglass technician, Chris attracts boat owners from all the way across the channel. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
