A little about the team working here at Gweek Classic Boatyard.

Mark Aichroth
Mark Aichroth spent a large part of his childhood at Gillan Cove near to Manccan. He has had long passion for sailing both big boats and dinghies. He has part owned a classic Swan 37 and raced a Sweden 36 at Cowes Week and in the Round the Island race. Mark is currently working in healthcare in London and Switzerland, home is in Somerset. He is Governor of Port Regis Prep school and a volunteer for Festival Medical Services that provide the on site medical searches for the Glastonbury Festival. The charity supports many medical aid projects around the world. Mark spends as much time as possible in Gweek with his wife, Camilla.
Malcolm Beaton
Malcolm Beaton has taken a number of businesses from start up to significant success, these businesses are in Waste Management, Farming and Property.
Malcolm has a passion for classic tractors and is at his happiest operating machinery. Malcolm enjoys a project and bring enormous energy and drive to Gweek Classic Boatyard. Malcolm also lives in Somerset with his wife, Maria.
Gweek Classic Boatyard engineers and yard team
Tom Henderson | Operations Manager
Tom is our operations manager, ensuring the smooth running of all craning and engineering work on the yard. His background is in deep water diving.
Tammy Essen | Accounts
Tammy Essen is a local living in Gweek who joined the team in September 2017 bringing 15 years of accounts experience working with small, medium and multinational businesses in the UK and Australia. Tammy is our part time Book Keeper and is also an active member and Treasurer of Garras School PTA.
Ross Daly | Banksman
Ross is our banksman, plant operator and yard hand, assisting with craning and helping ensure every boat on the yard is looked after.

Gemma Gilbert | Admin Assistant
Our Admin Assistant Gemma Gilbert has worked at the boatyard since October 2016. Gemma is from Helston with previous Customer Service experience in local businesses and will be your first point of call for all your office and chandlery inquiries.
Andy Foster | Banksman
Andy has worked at Gweek for over 15 years, and guides the lifting of the cranes, pressure washing and anti fouling boats on the yard.

Duncan Skingley | Shipwright
Duncan is one of our resident shipwrights and boatbuilders, specialising in boatbuilding repairs, maintenance, rebuilds, restorations and new builds. View his website here.

Suzie Ferris
Susie is Gweek Classic Boatyard's painting and finishing expert, skilled in painting wood, metal and GRP boats.
Andrew Massey | Shipwright
Andrew is another of our skilled shipwrights, specialising in bespoke joinery, restorations and repairs. Details of his completed projects can be found on his website.
Troy Christensen
Troy has recently joined the team at Gweek as our resident marine electrician.
Chris Hardman Jones
A highly renowned GRP/fibreglass technician, Chris attracts boat owners from all the way across the channel.
John Henderson | Lizard Marine
Our resident marine engineering expert, John has over 15 years experience in marine engineering, having grown up on the Lizard and worked offshore since he left school.
