Visiting Gweek Quay Boatyard by sea...

Gweek Quay Boatyard is situated in the upper reaches of the Helford River, about three quarters of an hours motor from the river entrance. Whether its a visit on the tide for a meal at the Gweek Inn, a trip up in the tender to our well stocked chandlery for some spares, or an overnight stop to take in the scenery - put Gweek Quay Boatyard on your cruising passage plan.

Following the main channel past Port Navas Creek, Frenchmans Creek, and Tremayne Quay, the upper stages of the river where the channel narrows and swings widely are clearly buoyed leading you right up to the boatyard.

We have limited berths available for vistors alongside our historic quay wall, sitting in soft mud or gravel. Water and electricity, toilets and showers are available if required.

Gweek Quay Boatyard is tidally restricted. On average we have water an hour and a half either side of high water. Shallow tenders and kayaks will have longer. Boats alongside will dry completely between tides.

Tidal adjustments for Gweek are shown on the left of this article.

If you are planning a visit to Gweek, please phone ahead to check we have room for you - our helpful team of staff can also provide guidance on tidal times and heights if needed and where to moor.

We look forward to meeting you!

Please note: At present we do not operate on VHF.
