Amelia Rose is a Fifie , a fishing vessel of wooden carvel construction, built by McDuff of Fraserburgh in 1932. Amelia Rose worked as a fishing vessel all her life , originally as a lugger. She had a large engine and wheelhouse installed at some time from when she worked as a trawler on the east coast of Scotland until the late 1990's sfter which she was laid up , half submerged , untilshe was purchased in 2001. From then on she has been lovingly restored , funded entirely by the owners. She still has all original frames and half of her original planks and stem.

Everything else on the vessel has been replaced , so she is approximately between 30-40%original
